    Simon is a former Debating Matters participant, who took part in the competition representing Elfed High School in North Wales. He is a graduate of the University of Liverpool, where he gained a BA in Politics. At university he was involved in numerous extracurricular activities including setting up the university TV station as a co-ordinator and director and presenting a current affairs and film related TV show for ICON RADIO. Since completing his degree in Politics he has been volunteering for numerous charities, such as Save the Family, taught A level Politics and History at Yale College Wrexham and contributed articles to an E Magazine and blog called YoungPoliticalBloggers.
