Simon manages a team of youth work staff for a Scottish local authority. He is a Director of Generation Youth Issues and on the Board of Play Scotland. Simon is currently studying for a PhD in Community Education at the University of Strathclyde, focusing on how past childhood experiences contributed to emerging self-hood in young people. In what little spare time remains, Simon chases his five and a half year old son and two year old daughter about and plays football averagely.
