Stuart has worked in the agriscience industry since 1985 and Syngenta is the world’s largest agribusiness, researching new crop protection chemistries, seeds, vegetables and flowers. Historically his PhD is in insect neuroscience and he now leads a team researching new safer agrochemicals, understanding how they work and working with colleagues around the world on issues related to the mode of action, such as toxicity and resistance. He is interested in how biology works, including using chemical and systems biology approaches. Stuart is an adjunct Professor of Cellular and Molecular Biology at Imperial College London.
