19 Princelet Street - Britain's Museum of Immigration
Susie is an economist, broadcaster and campaigner. She has worked in HM Treasury, the European Commission in Brussels, as Director for Europe at Chatham House, and has held various academic posts, including as Visiting Professor at the National Institute of Defence Studies in Tokyo. Her work has covered a wide range, including social exclusion, world agricultural policy, military might in the Mediterranean, and the novels of Philip Pullman. She co-produced an award-winning audio anthology ‘Voices’, which hit the best seller lists. Susie is Chair of 19 Princelet Street (@19pst), Europe’s oldest museum of immigration and diversity and the only cultural institution in Britain to be founded by refugees. It is now a pioneering international historic site of conscience and civic engagement. Susie is active in encouraging panel organisers and media to use a greater mix of voices, especially women and contributors from migrant and minoritised communities.
