    Theresa Lloyd is a leading philanthropy expert and consultant in strategy, fundraising and governance in the non-profit sector. Following a City career she worked as a senior fundraising director with Save the Children and as the UK Director of ActionAid UK. In 1995 she gained a Diploma in art history and then set up her consultancy. For nearly 25 years she has advised charities, arts organisations, NHS Trusts and higher-education institutions, as well as philanthropists. Theresa was the founder director of Philanthropy UK (2001-04). She has written A Guide to Giving (2003), Why Rich People Give (2004), Cultural Giving (2006) and, with Dr Beth Breeze, Richer Lives (2013). Theresa also speaks at conferences and seminars. Theresa has been a member of several boards and committees in the arts, health, international development, higher education and philanthropy sectors. She is currently a governor of Bath Spa University
