    The Times

    Educated at Wallington County Grammar School, Surrey, and Liverpool University, where he edited the award-winning student newspaper, Tony Dawe moved straight into a career in journalism. He was a graduate trainee with the Thomson Organisation in the North East of England before moving to the Sunday Times, where he reported from six of the world’s seven continents. He was later the paper’s news editor and has also worked as a senior reporter for the Daily Express and The Times and as deputy editor of the Sunday Express. He has three grown-up children: a freelance music journalist, an IT consultant and a freelance illustrator. His interests include travel, walking, supporting Arsenal and AFC Wimbledon and playing village cricket.
