  Wendy has been working in health communications for over twenty years and is no stranger to challenges and controversial topics.  In the 1990s she set up Flora’s sponsorship of the London Marathon. More recent work has included explaining why and how animals are used in medical research, and a campaign to persuade food companies to reduce the amount of salt they add to their products. She joined NICE late last year to head up their press office. Her goal is to explain the reasoning behind NICE’s recommendations on which medicines should be available on the NHS, and also to gain more awareness for all the other areas of the Institute’s work.
